The Mattoon Arts Council is proud to recognize and celebrate the creativity of our community’s youngest artists through the annual Young Artist Awards. In partnership with Mattoon’s elementary schools, this program honors students not only for their artistic talent, but also for their passion, dedication, and love for the arts—regardless of skill level or experience.

As part of our mission to preserve and promote the arts in our community, the Mattoon Arts Council is committed to supporting creative expression at every age. The Young Artist Awards are one of the many ways we nurture a lifelong appreciation for the arts and encourage all students to explore their creativity with confidence and joy.
